1. Why do windows fail?

Over the life of a sealed unit, many loads are placed upon it. Manufacturing,  transport, installation and exposure can all compromise cause a seal failure. The most common reason is the constant temperature changes. The air space expands and contracts many times each and every day. This is why the majority of failed windows are found to be ones that get some direct sunlight.

2. Why can’t all windows be defogged successfully?

I drill 2 or 4 holes approximately 3mm in diameter. This will give the air an easier path to travel and not allow moisture to enter the window. Sometimes the seal failure is much larger than my couple holes. My valves will not be able to expel moisture as quick as it comes in thru the seal failure.

3. Will you travel to Bowen Island? Kelowna? Squamish? Nanaimo?

Yes. I do travel. I plan to run ad campaigns in each of the areas listed. Once I have a couple jobs to make the trip worth while, I will make an appointment suitable to all parties.
